An event titled “An Architect and an Engineer in the Earthquake Zone” was organized by the EERI OMU Earthquake Engineering Research Community, composed of students from the Department of Civil Engineering and the Faculty of Architecture at Ondokuz Mayıs University. The event featured Civil Engineer Prof. Dr. Alper İLKİ and Architect Nevzat SAYIN as invited speakers.
During the program, Prof. Dr. Alper İLKİ shared the engineering perspective on structural integrity and safety, while Nevzat SAYIN discussed the critical role of architects in the design process. The importance of interdisciplinary collaboration for earthquake-resistant structures was emphasized throughout the event.
