The Civil Engineering Society of Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMU) organized a seminar titled “Earthquake Through the Eyes of Engineers.” The seminar featured a joint presentation by Prof. Dr. Erdal Şafak, Deputy Director of the Boğaziçi University Kandilli Observatory and Earthquake Research Institute, and Prof. Dr. Azer Arastunoğlu Kasımzade, Head of the Structural Engineering Division at the OMU Department of Civil Engineering.
The seminar, held at the OMU Atatürk Congress and Culture Center, was attended by Samsun AFAD Provincial Director Levent Uçarlı, Chairman of the Samsun Chamber of Civil Engineers (TMMOB) Cevat Öncü, OMU Civil Engineering Society Academic Advisor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Erhan Burak Pancar, Society President Kadir Mişeli, faculty members, and students.
Following the Q&A session, during which Prof. Dr. Erdal Şafak and Prof. Dr. Azer Arastunoğlu Kasımzade answered questions from the students, the seminar came to an end.
