Students of the Ondokuz Mayıs University Department of Civil Engineering achieved a significant success by ranking 5th in the Concrete Canoe Competition, the 9th edition of which was organized by the Istanbul Technical University Engineering Preparation Club between 31 May – 1 June 2025, with the participation of 19 universities.
Our team, participating under the name "Varuna", received great appreciation for their outstanding performance, despite taking part in this competition for the first time on behalf of our department. Our students proudly represented our university with their technical skills, team spirit, and dedicated efforts throughout the design, production, and competition phases.
We congratulate all team members for this valuable achievement and hope to see many more successes from OMU Civil Engineering students in future competitions.
